On the dash board of your vehicle, would you put Black tape over your Oil Light when it's lighting up?
Sounds like a silly question..? Look at the body as the Dash Board of your vehicle. Pain occurs in two ways, Physically and Emotionally. It is these signs and symptoms that are alerting you to what is happenning internally. You are either getting too much of the wrong thing and/or not enough of the right thing. You are what you eat, drink and think.
Here at The Griffin Pain Relief Clinic it is our mission that we provide professional, comfortable, and effective treatments to eliminate acute or chronic problems (Pain) with maximum results.
We do this by treating the body as a whole, not just the presenting problem. We define which treatment (s) are best suited for your condition. We also offer dietary advise and recommendations on how to improve your overall Health and Lifestyle.
Massage therapy is the manipulation of the soft tissues of the body to promote health, to rehabilitate, to relax, to prevent dysfunction, or to relieve pain. This direct, hands-on treatment has a therapeutic effect on the neuromuscular, circulatory and hormonal systems of the body.
Applying the knowledge of anatomy and physiology, we use a variety of modern and well-established massage techniques, as well as remedial exercise, hydrotherapy (use of heat or cold) and other therapies to treat our clients.
At the Griffin pain Relief Clinic our massage therapist will develop a personal treatment plan based on the client’s individual case history and physical assessment. Before beginning treatment, the massage therapist will explain the treatment plan in order to obtain the client’s consent to begin treatment. Massage will be within the client’s comfort level and clients can request changes or withdraw consent at any time.
Our Massage therapists maintain respect for privacy. All information is kept strictly confidential unless required to be released by law or for medical reasons, with your consent.

Acupuncture is an ancient form of Chinese medicine involving the insertion of solid filiform acupuncture needles into the skin at specific points on the body to achieve a therapeutic effect. No drug is injected. The needles alone create the beneficial effects of acupuncture.
Acupuncture is used to encourage natural healing, improve mood and energy, reduce or relieve pain and improve function of affected areas of the body. It is safe and effective and is often successfully used as an alternative to medications or even surgery. Relief is often obtained with acupuncture when traditional medical therapy has failed.
Does Acupuncture hurt?
Acupuncture is virtually painless. The needles used are the thickness of a human hair, and very sharp. These features make the needling process essentially pain-free. Some more sensitive people may feel a small prick as the needle passes through the skin, most do not. Some may feel a dull ache or twitch as the needle reaches the correct spot, most feel little at all. At The Griffin Pain Relief Clinic we strive for the treatment to be as painless and comfortable as possible.
What does acupuncture feel like?
Once the needles are set, you may feel a vague numbness, heaviness, tingling or dull ache. Sometimes people experience a sensation of energy spreading and moving around the needle. This sensation is called “Qi” (pronounced chee). These are all normal reactions, and are good signs that the treatment is working. After the treatment, you may feel energized or a deep sense of relaxation.
Is acupuncture safe?
Acupuncture is extremely safe. It is an all-natural, drug free therapy, yielding no side effects except the feeling of well-being and relaxation. All needles at Higher Health are sterile, used once, then discarded.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments needed varies from person to person. Some people experience immediate relief while others may take weeks or months. Generally acute conditions will respond more quickly to acupuncture than chronic conditions.
